October’s all but over and the clock’s went back on Sunday, but The Columbaria Company’s not preparing to hibernate just yet! We have been busy the past few weeks installing our new bespoke “Frieze” Memorials in several crematoriums.

Featuring “laser-cut” frames of galvanised steel, stainless steel or aluminum, these can be powder-coated to any RAL number and are designed to be installed either internally or externally.

To complete the memorial, inscribed plaques can be created from slate, ceramic or acrylic. These are secured to the above frames offering numerous options to the customer. Each Frieze is bespoke and unique as we aim to represent local landmarks and landscapes familiar to the customer in the cut-out lasered design.

Always looking to identify potential spaces for memorialisation within the crematorium site, we offer these friezes as ideal features to brighten up the walls of waiting rooms and book of remembrance rooms inside and building walls and pergolas etc. outside. There is also scope (using thicker metal sheets) to form garden fencing and gates as a great way to maximise memorial space.

The Friezes generally feature vegetation silhouettes and colourful floral plaques and are part of our new “Botanic” Range of memorials which includes our Steel Memorial Trees.

Although most new Friezes are unique to the customer, we are now starting to compile a library of stock CAD files which can be used to laser-cut popular themed Friezes such as Woodland Animals, Agricultural Scenes and War Memorials etc.
